To everyone who went on FB to https://www.facebook.com/pages/Monster-High-Rom/368178576534611?fref=ts (AKA Monster High ROM on FB) and scraped their little asses over the coals, thank you. I just noticed that a ton of other photographers are now going on the page and reporting them as well as sounding off about their blatant theft of our images. My hope is that enough people have complained (I have at least 2 friends who had images stolen by them in addition to myself) and the page will be taken down. They must be asleep right now because they haven't removed the new comments (which I screenshot so they are FOREVER now, you assholes) and blocked the other photographers.
What this comes down to is an issue of respect. In talking to some of the other photographers personally affected by this FB page, most of them echoed my sentiments - if credit had been properly given and links listed to our blogs and/or Flickr pages, we would have been flattered that anyone liked our photos that much. But putting a fake watermark on images you didn't create is absolutely theft in the eyes of the law.
I'm not putting MH photos up for awhile because it seems those are the photos that are most often stolen. And that makes me sad because I staged some incredible shots recently that I was ready to load. But I'm angry and I need to get over it. So until then you are stuck with Barbie, Dynamite Girls, my sexy action figures and my J Dolls.
-DollsinDystopia (yes.... true and utter dystopia)...

I'm going to vent about something because I work hard on these images and I have the right to be angry. I have said it multiple times on this blog and my Flickr account that I do not mind anyone sharing my photos - BUT you MUST credit DollsinDystopia and post a link to either this blog or my Flickr account. Here is the second blatant misuse of my (and other really talented Flickr photographers') images - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Monster-High-Rom/368178576534611?fref=ts
I'm not going to mince words. This pisses me off. If you are visiting this page with the sole purpose of ripping off my images, LEAVE. I have a tracker on this page that logs all visits, IP addresses, computer ID's, your location - you name it. So at the end of the day - I can figure out, at the very least, where you are and what your IP address is (and the computer ID - which is like a social security number and never changes.)
If you here to enjoy images that I work very hard on because I enjoy collecting dolls and photographing them - then welcome! And as I said before - credit me and you can share all you want.
Thank you,
DollsinDystopia

Why won't Mattel make more high end, articulated barbies? The Barbie Basics edition with the articulated bodies were awesome. The front doll is a Barbie Basic on an Obitsu body. She's pretty awesome. :o)

Rebodied Trichelles

I LOVE the SIS Trichelle dolls. Well - actually the heads. The bodies are cheaply made which I don't understand and really makes me mad considering how utterly gorgeous the heads are. So far I have rebodied 2 Trichelles onto Fashionista Nikki dolls. The latest one actually today (the one on the left). I think she looks fantastic. As I said - Trichelle (and all of the other SIS dolls) have some of the most gorgeous doll heads I have ever seen.

I swear this picture has absolutely nothing to do with my inner rage over people stealing my images and passing them off as their own. Seriously.

Just alerting all of you to this gal on YouTube. I recognize photographs from many of us here on Flickr in her videos... in fact she has one video completely devoted to my Goth Cleo photos. She is watermarking our work. She seems to be very young (12) but she still needs to understand that this is wrong.
Please - don't try to take credit for someone else's work. I have absolutely no problem with anyone sharing my images - but you MUST include a link to either my blog or my photostream on Flickr. Thanks!
