Happy Holidays!  I love this time of the year. 

 

 

 

 We're almost there!  Halloween is really going to be different this year but it is truly the beginning of my favorite season - the holiday season! 

 I have to admit that Big Eyes Poppy Parker is one of my absolute favorite dolls.  I got her at my very first Integrity Toys Convention and wow, she was really a pleasant surprise.  She's perfect in nearly every photograph - totally photogenic.  I have joined the W Club for the past 2 years because my doll collection is just too huge at this point.  But I miss Poppy so much.  I really may have to consider rejoining in 2021.  My new collecting focus is Momoko (girls and boys) and Ruruko (mostly girls - I have one boy). More on that later!

I am not one to spend a huge amount of money on one single doll but there are some grail dolls that I have definitely spent more on.  Here are two - Rock Ringmaster and Style Strategy Lukas.  I bought both of them used from Ebay and, admittedly, got them at a better price than I could find them now.  I don't know what it is about Lukas that appeals to me so much.  The sullen facial expression?  I just love him.  Definitely my favorite FR homme.  I need to photograph my boys more.  I absolutely love male dolls but I end up buying clothes and accessories for my girls more than my boys.

But I'll post anyway because I'm in self isolation and bored as hell!  I've also REALLY gotten into Momoko and Ruruko dolls so I have lots of new stuff to post!!!

Mood Changers...

I LOVE the Poppy Parker Mood Changers set.  There.  I said it.  You get the best of 3 worlds... a redhead, a dark -haired beauty, and a gal with purple hair.  Just awesome.  If I have one complaint, it's that the raven-haired gal and the purple-haired gal have that glue gunk in their hair out of the box so I ended up boil washing them both just to be satisfied with their hairdo's.  But utterly perfect in every other way.  Showcased below are Raven and Lilac, both wearing fashions from Clear Lan.

When I first got this doll I had a very hard time connecting with her.  But that has absolutely changed over the past few months since I've played around a bit more with her style.  She looks great in hats and luckily I have quite a few of those to use on her.

Dark Moon Poppy is absolutely one of my favorite dolls.  She just loves the camera... I'm still waiting on several Poppy's that I ordered from this year's collection so I guess she could always be "eclipsed" (hah hah!) by another, but for now... she's my fave.  :o)

Hippie Dippy

Guess who just came to live at my house??? I am absolutely loving Hippie Dippy Poppy... just gorgeous!!  I know this opinion isn't universal, but I am very pleased with the Poppy line-up this year.

I have read mixed reviews around the interwebs, but I LOVE the Poppy line up for this year... absolutely love it.  And what a fantastic start with Groovy Galore Poppy!  She's amazing... and so, so photogenic.  Life has kept me from photographing and updating this blog as much as I would like to but here are a few shots of Groovy Galore Poppy.  AND Aristocratic Agnes... my god.  The utlimate "Bitch-Face Barbie".  Can't do anything but adore her. I can't wait to get my hands on the other dolls I have ordered so far this year. CAN. NOT. WAIT.

Kimiko Gunn

I bought Tina Tanaka, aka Agent Kimiko Gunn, a few months ago off of Evilbay.  I didn't immediately connect with her the way I thought I would... I have seen so many adorable photographs of her around the Interwebs... I automatically assumed I would be able to style and photograph her beautifully as well.  But, alas, the first few photographs I took of her just didn't turn out too well... we just weren't connecting.  Then, I really hit my stride with her the past few days of photographing her.  It all seemed to come together when I put her in the cute outfit in the first picture.  Here are a few shots I think turned out pretty well.

I am seriously loving these new clothes from Clear Lan.  Incredibly well-made and totally fashionable! And the best part? Extremely fair prices and cheap shipping. 

So of course I had to set up some shots of Starlight Poppy and Back to Brooklyn Remi in their new duds... I think they make a great couple.  ;o)

Dark Moon Poppy has really become my muse lately.  She's my favorite Poppy Parker of the moment.  Here she is modeling a new dress from Clear Lan (which, btw, creates some of the most beautiful, well-crafted doll clothes I have ever seen!) Lazy Sunday Morning

Still working with putting together dioramas on my kitchen counter! I don't have nearly the flexibility I had with my room box but I'm making it work... for now.  Here's a quick dio of Poppy enjoying a lazy Sunday morning.

I'm trying to find creative ways to set up small dioramas... it's pretty difficult in our new house since I don't have the same space I had before.  But I did successfully set up this quick picnic diorama on the kitchen counter!!  W00t!
